A field inspection manual is planned to be developed which would be a training guide to inspectors and address all practical issues related to inspections. It will not only include the technical details of inspections, but will also focus on areas like possible conflicts, conflict management, ethics and modes of behaviours appropriate to inspectors, communication skills required, and redressal of grievances.
Other measures planned for strengthening the organizational capacity of PBTA include the development of a website for the BTA, an MIS system for BTA, an IT-based registration and mapping tool for blood establishments, and an IT based mechanism for the immediate transmission of inspector’s reports to the BTA head office.
